PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. – Sixty-two teams competed in the inaugural First Tee Invitational at the Honda Classic golf tournament Monday. Play was on the Champion course at PGA National using the same pin positions that were in play Sunday during the final round of the Honda Classic.

Winners in the four-ball stroke play event were Richard Targa and Andre Wade, low gross, 69, and Bruce Brockmeyer and Ron Sellers, low net, 62, each won on a match of cards.

The First Tee is a national organization designed to introduce golf to young men and women. The new Palm Beach Chapter is expected to receive more than $20,000 from Monday’s activities, according to Executive Director Craig Watson.
