Curaleaf Classic Team Stableford

The Curaleaf Classic Team Stableford will be the ninth event on the 2023 Palm Beach County Golf Association Schedule. The 36-hole Team Modified Stableford Championship, will be played over two days (Saturday, August 12 – Sunday, August 13). Approximately 84 players will tee-it-up and compete for the most points with hopes to be declared the winner.

The scoring in Stableford competitions is made by points awarded in relation to a fixed score at each hole as follows:

Team Stableford Scoring System: Both Balls and Scores Count. The teams aggregate score (strokes taken) on each hole will be used against double par to award points.

Team Points: Dbl Bogey (-)1 / Bogey 1 / Par 2 / Birdie 4 / Eagle 6 / Dbl Eagle 8

Example: Par 5 (Par 10)
Team Dbl Bogey (12+ team strokes) = (-) 1 point
Team Bogey (11 team strokes) = 1 point
Team Par (10 team strokes) = 2 points
Team Birdie (9 team strokes) = 4 points
Team Eagle (8 team strokes) = 6 points
Team Dbl Eagle (7 team strokes) = 8 points

Example: Par 4 (Par 8)

Team Eagle (4 team strokes) = 6 points
Team Dbl Eagle (3 team strokes) = 8 points

The modification to the scoring comes into play if a Double Bogey or worse is carded on a a hole. In normal stableford competitions, this score would produce zero (0) points, but as an added challenge, the modified scoring will subtract 1 point from the players total points awarded for their round. Low number of strokes taken each hole will produce more points and a high number of strokes taken will have the potential to erase points previously earned.
