ABOUT THE PALM BEACH GOLF ASSOCIATION (PBCGA)

The Premier Amateur Golf Organization in South Florida Since 1976

The Palm Beach Golf Association (PBCGA) is South Florida's leading nonprofit amateur golf organization — conducting championship-level competition, awarding college scholarships, and serving the Palm Beach County golf community for nearly 50 years.

Founded in 1976 by local business leaders, the PBCGA is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit headquartered in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. Our mission is two-fold: to elevate amateur golf competition across South Florida and to invest in the futures of deserving Florida students through life-changing college scholarships.

Championship Amateur Golf in Palm Beach County

Each year, the PBCGA conducts approximately 20 amateur golf championships from April through October — giving nearly 700 competitive golfers the opportunity to play the finest courses in Palm Beach County and across South Florida. From seasoned club champions to emerging talent, PBCGA championships are the standard for amateur golf in the region.

Our events are open to golfers of all skill levels and ages, offering access to premier venues that would otherwise be unavailable to the general public. Whether you're chasing a championship title or competing for the Player of the Year crown, the PBCGA season delivers a full calendar of elite amateur competition.

College Scholarships & Community Impact

The PBCGA has awarded more than $495,000 in college scholarships to 185+ South Florida students — helping them pay for tuition, books, and educational fees so they can focus on building their futures.

Through a longstanding partnership with Take Stock in Children – Palm Beach County, the PBCGA provides tuition scholarships to qualifying students attending the Florida state college of their choice. Take Stock in Children is a proven statewide mentoring and scholarship program that enrolls low-income middle school students and supports them with volunteer mentors, student advocates, early intervention, and long-term college preparedness — all the way through graduation.

The PBCGA doesn't just write a check — we stand with our scholars, providing mentorship, encouragement, and the tools to succeed in college and in life.

Leadership & Operations

The PBCGA is operated by Executive Director Jordan Schneider, supported by a dedicated team of volunteers who manage day-to-day operations from the association's headquarters in Palm Beach Gardens, FL. The organization is governed by an elected Board of Directors, chaired by Robbie Wight.

Trusted Partners & Supporters

For more than 50 years, local businesses and community leaders have been the backbone of the PBCGA's mission. Current and longtime supporters include the Arrigo Family, Tiger Woods Ventures, Nick Price, Jack & Barbara Nicklaus, JB Morell, Palm Beach Kennel Club, Kibbey Wagner & Blum PLLC, Abacoa Golf Club, and PGA Section South Florida.

Their continued investment allows the PBCGA to expand both its championship programming and its scholarship commitments — ensuring that amateur golf and student success remain at the heart of Palm Beach County for generations to come.
