The competition divisions available at events will vary by tournament format. The majority of tournaments include our standard divisions:
All players are assigned to the age division matching their age as of the first day of the Championship. You may always compete in a younger division ("playing up"), but never in a division older than your age.
Exception: Juniors (ages 10–18) may compete in older divisions but not a younger division.
PBCGA events feature a variety of formats including stroke play, match play, and team events throughout the season. Specific format details are listed on each individual event page.
All participants are expected to uphold the values and traditions of golf. The PBCGA is committed to maintaining the integrity of the Rules of Golf in all regional championships. Unsportsmanlike conduct may result in disqualification.
PBCGA celebrates every hole-in-one achieved during official events. Members who record a hole-in-one are recognized across our communications and social media channels.
PBCGA members are eligible to compete in 20 tournaments and championships throughout the season — events designed for players of all ages and skill levels. From stroke play to match play formats, every event is run with championship-level standards on the finest courses in Palm Beach County.
Through a partnership with the Florida State Golf Association (FSGA), PBCGA members will have access to add the USGA-licensed World Handicap System — the global standard for competitive play.

Every PBCGA membership fee goes directly back into the game. Through the PBCGA Foundation, your membership supports growth-of-the-game initiatives across the region — including Florida college scholarships for student-athletes who love the sport as much as you do.
The Palm Beach Golf Association is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting and supporting competitive golf for individuals of all ages in South Florida. Non-Members can create a free profile and compete in most PBCGA Championships, but pay higher tournament entry fees and do not receive priority registration, waitlist access, or eligibility for season-ending honors and invitationals.
Full Members ($125/year) receive reduced entry fees averaging $100 savings per event, priority registration, priority waitlist entry, access to all championships, negotiated practice round rates, and eligibility for Member Rewards and season-ending honors. The membership typically pays for itself within the first two events.
