The 31st Annual Sam Smidt Cup was another thrilling chapter in one of the Palm Beach Golf Association's most cherished rivalries! Held on January 26, 2026, at the stunning Mayacoo Lakes Country Club in West Palm Beach, this iconic team match play event pitted our top PBCGA amateurs against the talented professionals from the South Florida Southeast Chapter of the PGA.

This year's competition was presented in style thanks to our fantastic new Official Partner, LAEZ, whose premium men's accessories added an extra touch of elegance to the day. Our PBCGA team members proudly sported exclusive custom LAEZ belts on the course—looking sharp while swinging for the win!

The format brought out the best in competitive golf: intense head-to-head matchups, clutch performances under pressure, and plenty of camaraderie between the two sides. The course at Mayacoo Lakes was in pristine condition—fast greens, strategic bunkering, and beautiful Florida weather made for an ideal setting.

Our PBCGA squad fought valiantly from the opening matches all the way to the final groups. It came down to the wire in a back-and-forth battle, with momentum swinging on nearly every hole. Despite an epic effort and some standout individual performances that had fans on the edge of their seats, the Southeast Chapter Pros ultimately claimed the victory with a close final score of 28.5 to 25.5.

While the trophy heads to the pros this time, the real winners were everyone involved—the players, volunteers, club staff at Mayacoo Lakes, and all the supporters who followed along. The spirit of the Sam Smidt Cup—friendly yet fiercely competitive—shone through once again.
