Division Age Eligibility
Open 49 and younger
Senior 50–59
Super Senior 60 and older

The Better Ball Format

The Four-Ball Stroke Play format is built for partners. Two competitors play as a team, each playing their own ball throughout the round. The lower score between the two partners counts as the team's score for that hole — and if one partner can't complete a hole, there's no penalty to the team. It's a format that rewards both individual brilliance and consistent partnership play over 36 holes.

Whether you're the steady hand or the birdie machine, there's a role for every competitor in this championship.

Performance at the Tommy Belen Better Ball Championship contributes directly to the season-long PBCGA Point Cup Races, with points awarded across all three divisions. Open Division winners also earn points toward qualifying for the prestigious Tour Championship, presented by Tiger Woods, and a coveted invitation to the SMIDT Cup Team. The Daily Skins Game adds cash-on-the-line drama alongside every round.

Every hole is a chance to move the needle in the season standings. The race starts on the first tee Saturday morning.

The Cape Club of Palm City

Set along the scenic waterways of Palm City, Florida, the Cape Club of Palm City provides a championship-caliber test from tee to green. The marquee finishing stretch — including the par-3 17th — will make Sunday afternoon's closing holes a true pressure cooker. Expect pristine bermuda conditions, strategic bunkering, and a layout that will separate disciplined partnerships from the rest of the field.
