A Championship for All Ages
The 24th Palm Beach Stableford is designed to cater to golfers of varying ages, with three distinct divisions:
- Open Division (49 and under)
- Senior Division (50-59)
- Super Senior Division (60+)
Modified Stablefrod Scoring System
The scoring in Stableford competitions is made by points awarded in relation to a fixed score at each hole as follows:
HOLE PLAYED AT |
POINTS |
Double Bogey or worse |
(-) 1 |
Bogey |
1 |
Par |
2 |
Birdie |
4 |
Eagle |
6 |
Albatross |
8 |
The modification to the scoring comes into play if a Double Bogey or worse is carded on a a hole. In normal stableford competitions, this score would produce zero (0) points, but as an added challenge, the modified scoring will subtract 1 point from the players total points awarded for their round. Low number of strokes taken each hole will produce more points and a high number of strokes taken will have the potential to erase points previously earned.
