Three Pathways Into the Championship
Every player enters the 2026 County Amateur through exactly one of three pathways. Determine which applies to you before registering for anything.
Pathway A — Exemption
Direct Entry
You earned a spot based on 2025 performance or past championship history. PBCGA sends an invitation directly via BlueGolf.
One fee. One deadline. Accept and pay by May 15 at 6:19 PM. Miss the deadline — your spot is released.
Fee: $400 member / $525 non-member
Pathway B — Bobby Bryant Qualifier
Earn It — June 6
Register for the 20th Bobby Bryant Stroke Play. Opt in to the County Am Qualifier contest. Compete in Round 1 at PGA Golf Club Dye Course.
Three fees at three stages. Bobby Bryant entry + $25 qualifier fee on-site + $400 County Am entry if you advance.
Open & Senior eligible. Super Senior NOT eligible.
Pathway C — Abacoa Qualifier Shootout
New in 2026 · Earn It — June 23
Register for the standalone County Amateur Qualifier Shootout at Abacoa Golf Club. Top finishers advance directly to the County Am field.
Two fees. $150 Qualifier Shootout entry + $400 County Am entry ($525 non-members) if you advance.
Open, Senior & Super Senior eligible.

Eligibility Requirements
All four requirements must be met to enter the 2026 County Amateur through any pathway:

Players marked "Pro Not Eligible"
If your name appears on the exemption list with a "Pro Not Eligible" designation, you cannot enter. Contact /Blog/2026-CountyAM-RegistrationGuide if you believe this is an error.

Bobby Bryant entry fee is NOT refunded if you compete but do not advance to the County Am.

The $150 Abacoa entry covers the qualifier event only. County Am entry is a separate charge paid after qualifying.

If you believe you qualify for an exemption, check your BlueGolf account for an invitation. If no invitation was received, email /Blog/2026-CountyAM-RegistrationGuide immediately. Invitations not accepted by the deadline are permanently released to the qualifier pool.

Qualifier Spots Available
The number of spots available across both qualifier events is determined by subtracting confirmed exempt acceptances from the 84-player field. Spots are confirmed after the May 15 exempt deadline. Do not expect a fixed number before May 15.

Opt In vs. Opt Out
When registering for the Bobby Bryant, you will see a County Am Qualifier contest listed alongside your division.
OPT IN — Select the County Am Qualifier if you want Round 1 to count as your qualifying attempt. A $25 qualifier fee is collected on-site. Top finishers advance.
OPT OUT — Do not select it if you're playing the Bobby Bryant as a standalone event only. No qualifier fee. No County Am obligation. Full eligibility for all Bobby Bryant prizes and POY points.
OPT IN — Select the County Am Qualifier if you want Round 1 to count as your qualifying attempt. A $25 qualifier fee is collected on-site. Top finishers advance.
OPT OUT — Do not select it if you're playing the Bobby Bryant as a standalone event only. No qualifier fee. No County Am obligation. Full eligibility for all Bobby Bryant prizes and POY points.
Weather / Rain Delay Policy — Bobby Bryant Qualifier
If Round 1 (June 6) is cancelled or suspended before a valid qualifying round can be completed, the qualifier moves to Sunday, June 7. The $25 qualifier fee is still collected on June 6 regardless. Players who opted in must be available Sunday or forfeit their qualifier attempt. Watch PBCGA.ORG and registered email for updates.

Note — Abacoa Qualifier Shootout
This is a standalone qualifier event — not attached to another championship. Register directly for this event through its BlueGolf event page. The $150 entry fee covers your qualifier round only. If you advance, you will complete County Am registration and pay the $400 / $525 entry fee separately.
How Qualifying Results Work — Both Events

1Qualifying scores are finalized after each event concludes.

2Top finishers (lowest scores) among opted-in players advance. Ties for the final qualifying spot are resolved per PBCGA tiebreaker procedures.

3Results are posted on BlueGolf after each qualifying event. PBCGA contacts qualifiers directly via registered email with instructions.

4Qualifiers from the Bobby Bryant must complete County Am registration and pay the $400 / $525 entry fee by June 23, 2026 at 12:00 PM.

5Qualifiers from the Abacoa Qualifier Shootout must complete County Am registration by June 23, 2026 at 12:00 PM — the same deadline.

4June 6 — Arrive at PGA Golf Club. Pay $25 qualifier fee on-site before your tee time. Compete in Round 1 on the Dye Course (~6,700 yards, Open and Senior on same tees).
