Expanded Legends Division Opportunities

Exciting News for Our Legends Golfers: Expanded Division Opportunities in the 2026 PBCGA Season!

At the Palm Beach Golf Association (PBCGA), we're committed to fostering competitive amateur golf for players of all ages across South Florida. As a nonprofit dedicated to growing the game since 1976, we listen closely to our members—and your feedback has driven meaningful change.

We're thrilled to announce significant enhancements to our Legends division (for amateur golfers aged 70 and older) in the upcoming 2026 tournament season. What started with dedicated play in just two signature events—the 18-hole Kepler Classic and the 36-hole Senior Amateur—is now expanding to create even more opportunities for our seasoned competitors to shine.

Thanks to the strong participation and enthusiasm from our Legends-eligible members, we've added the division to two additional fan-favorite events:

  • The Two-Man Scramble
  • The Palm Beach Stableford competition

That means four full events featuring a dedicated Legends division in 2026—more chances to compete, connect with fellow golfers, and enjoy the camaraderie that defines PBCGA championships!

2026 Legends Division Event Schedule

We've set yardages thoughtfully to keep things enjoyable and competitive, targeting approximately 5,700–6,000 yards across these events:

  • TBA – 29th Kepler Classic (Mid-Am & Senior divisions included)
  • July 18–19 – Two-Man Scramble
  • September 10–11 – 47th Senior Amateur
  • September 19–20 – 25th Palm Beach Stableford

These dates offer a well-spaced calendar, giving our 70+ players plenty of prime playing opportunities throughout the summer and early fall.

Why This Matters—and How You Can Help Make It Even Better

Expanding the Legends division isn't just about adding events; it's about building a vibrant, inclusive community where experience, skill, and passion for the game are celebrated at every level. Strong participation is the key to sustaining and growing these offerings.

To ensure these events thrive (and to unlock exciting future additions like a dedicated Player of the Year points race, daily skins games, and enhanced prize funds), we need your help:

  • Register early when entries open—priority goes to members!
  • Invite fellow eligible golfers—spread the word to friends, clubmates, or former competitors aged 70+ who love championship golf.
  • Share your feedback—tell us what formats, venues, or features would make these events even more appealing.

Your involvement directly shapes the future of amateur golf in Palm Beach County. The more Legends players we see teeing it up, the more we can invest back into the division.

If you're not yet a PBCGA member, now's the perfect time to join—full members enjoy reduced entry fees, priority registration, and access to all our premier events. Visit www.pbcga.org/membership or call (561) 625-0400 to get started.
