Welcome New Chairman Robbie Wight + Thank You Michael Blum
We're thrilled to share some exciting leadership news for the Palm Beach County Golf Association (PBCGA)!
We're excited to announce that Robbie Wight is the new Chairman of the Palm Beach Golf Association - (PBCGA). Robbie brings tremendous experience, passion for amateur golf, and a vision to keep growing our tournaments and community impact.
A native of West Palm Beach and a graduate of Cardinal Newman High School and the University of Florida, Robbie has been a standout competitor in amateur golf for many years, including for over 2 plus decades in Palm Beach Golf Association Events. Robbie grew up playing (and still plays) out of Bear Lakes Country Club in West Palm Beach and competed collegiately while at the University of Florida. His playing resume includes winning the 2015 Palm Beach County Amateur Championship, qualifying for USGA Championships, winning three straight South Florida PGA Pro-Scratch Championships alongside Justin Hicks, amongst other strong performances in local and regional events. Robbie’s longstanding involvement with the PBCGA – from competing to now leading, positions him perfectly to guide the association forward
A huge thank you to Michael Blum for his dedicated leadership as Chairman from 2017–2025. Michael's guidance helped elevate the PBCGA to new heights—overseeing growth in our events, partnerships, and charitable impact during a transformative period. We're grateful for his many years of service and look forward to his continued involvement as a past chairman and valued member of our golf community.
The PBCGA remains committed to its mission: fostering amateur golf, creating memorable competitive experiences, and giving back to the next generation right here in Palm Beach County and beyond. Stay tuned for upcoming tournaments, scholarship updates, and more ways to get involved!
