Welcome New Chairman Robbie Wight + Thank You Michael Blum

We're thrilled to share some exciting leadership news for the Palm Beach County Golf Association (PBCGA)!

We're excited to announce that Robbie Wight is the new Chairman of the Palm Beach Golf Association - (PBCGA). Robbie brings tremendous experience, passion for amateur golf, and a vision to keep growing our tournaments and community impact.

A lifelong golfer with deep roots in Palm Beach County, Robbie has been a standout competitor in local and regional events for years. Hailing from West Palm Beach and affiliated with Bear Lakes Country Club, he competed collegiately at the University of Florida as a Gator, where he earned SEC Academic Honor Roll recognition and brought his competitive fire to the team. His playing resume includes strong performances in PBCGA tournaments, Florida State Golf Association events (like top finishes in the Two-Man Shoot-Out and Mid-Amateur Four-Ball), and even back-to-back wins in the South Florida PGA Pro-Scratch Championship alongside pro Justin Hicks. Beyond the course, Robbie's longstanding involvement with the PBCGA—from competing to now leading—positions him perfectly to guide our organization forward.

Under Robbie's chairmanship, we look forward to building on our legacy of promoting competitive amateur golf for players of all ages across South Florida. His vision includes expanding our signature tournaments, strengthening community partnerships, and continuing our commitment to scholarship programs that have awarded hundreds of thousands of dollars to deserving college-bound student-athletes. With Robbie at the helm, alongside Executive Director Jordan Schneider and our dedicated board, the future of the PBCGA is brighter than ever.

A huge thank you to Michael Blum for his dedicated leadership as Chairman from 2017–2025. Michael's guidance helped elevate the PBCGA to new heights—overseeing growth in our events, partnerships, and charitable impact during a transformative period. We're grateful for his many years of service and look forward to his continued involvement as a past chairman and valued member of our golf community.

The PBCGA remains committed to its mission: fostering amateur golf, creating memorable competitive experiences, and giving back to the next generation right here in Palm Beach County and beyond. Stay tuned for upcoming tournaments, scholarship updates, and more ways to get involved!
