Walk the range at any mid Summer PBCGA event and you'll hear the same question : who's your partner for the Junior Senior? It's become one of the most beloved formats on the calendar — a Modified Alternate Shot opening round giving way to a Better Ball Sunday, two players, one score, and more than a couple drinks to talk it all over afterward.
This year, that format gets an enhanced spin of experience. The Senior Partners Best Ball / Alternate Shot joins the 2026 PBCGA schedule, built for teams where both partners have already earned their stripes — one golfer 50–59, the other 60 and over. Same 36-hole battle-tested format. A different kind of experience — two card-carrying veterans, one team, one trophy.
It tees off August 8–9 at Eastpointe Country Club in Palm Beach Gardens, a course with a pedigree that fits the occasion perfectly.
The Format
Both players tee off on every hole. Play your partner's drive for your second shot, then select one ball to complete the hole — playing alternately until it's holed out.
Both players play their own ball throughout. The lower score between partners becomes the team score for the hole.
